Shalana Upchurch-Quarles founded Lent's House with a singular vision: a residential home where children and youth affected by sickle cell disease could receive the medical, educational, and emotional support to thrive into adulthood. Lent's House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 39-3608398). As Secretary of the Board, she leads the organization's commitment to trauma-informed care, cultural awareness, and economic empowerment.
